Jonathan Rider is a Fight Director with over 30 years of experience choreographing and teaching stage combat regionally, nationally, and internationally. 

He also has the ability to provide remote video coaching of the choreography and possess a full armory for rental.

• Santa Clara University: armed combat class ’91; Single sword and unarmed workshop 2010

• Yale University, Opera Training Program: dueling workshop

• San Francisco Opera Merola Training Program: armed and unarmed combat

• University of Anchorage, AK: armed class with Michael Hood (Certified Teacher SAFD)

• Academy of the Sword: taught armed unarmed classes, workshops, and choreography as a member of Richard Lane’s company (Fight Director, SAFD)

• Odyssey School: classes in armed and unarmed combat

• Alaska Theater of Youth: choreographed all shows, armed, unarmed classes and workshops in anchorage and on tours as Associate Artistic Director of company
